About Rick Ross

Award winning rap artist, mogul and Grammy award nominee Rick Ross released his debut album Port of Miami in August 2006. Surprisingly, despite only spawning one single, the album managed to open at #1 on Billboard Hot 200 chart, selling well over 187,000 copies in the first week. With eight #1 and #2 Soundscan original studio albums, and four Grammy Award nominations under his belt since 2006, Rick Ross was a core artist on the Def Jam roster. His drawing power was established virtually overnight when, in an earlier digital era, his 2006 label debut, Hustlin’ became the first master tone ever certified RIAA platinum before the associated album had been released. That album was his classic debut, Port Of Miami (in tribute to his hometown), the first of four Rick Ross albums to debut at #1. In 2013, Rick Ross announced that he was the brand ambassador for Luc Belaire. He even created an “exclusive club” for rappers co-signing for the brand. Called the Black Bottle Boys, this group includes Lil Durk and DJ Khaled, and many others, often spotted sporting Varsity jackets with a BBB logo.

At the start of 2017, Rick Ross celebrated the five-year anniversary of his mixtape Rich Forever, considered by many of his fans to be his magnum opus for the streets. On March 17, he released his ninth studio album, Rather You Than Me.

About K. Michelle

National Recording artist, chart-topping and award-winning R&B singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, television personality, and mogul K. Michelle is currently working on her fourth full-length album. K. Michelle certainly has every reason to be confident. The Memphis, TN native’s second album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?, bowed at #1 on Billboard’s R&B chart and #6 on the Billboard Top 200, eventually becoming the “best-selling female R&B album of 2014.” Rolling Stone placed it among the “Top 20 R&B Albums of the Year,” while Complex, Washington Post, and more extolled it. Only a year prior, her major label debut Rebellious Soul earned the distinction of becoming the highest Top 200 entry for a female R&B singer’s debut since 2001, also coming in at #1 on Billboard’s R&B chart and #2 on the Billboard Top 200. Alongside those achievements, she received a Soul Train Award for “Best New Artist” and an NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding New Artist.” In early 2016, the second season of her VH1 reality show, K. Michelle: My Life, opened to an audience of over 3.2 million viewers up 7.5%, and she made history becoming the “first African American to receive an endorsement deal from Jack Daniels.”
